Let's Shed Some Light on Our Candles
Made of what?
Our candles are made out of 100% beeswax. No additives or wax blends. Just pure beeswax with a lead-free and organic cotton wick. The wax we use is sourced from a family-owned apiary in Ohio. The beeswax is 100% pure, and they don’t use any type of pesticides or chemicals.
If you’re buying one of our colored candles, the eco dye we use is:

Why beeswax?
Purer air
When you burn beeswax candles, they release negative ions, purifying the air just like an air purifier! The paraffin wax in most other candles contains carcinogenic toxins that are released into the air when burned, which end up in your lungs… In a closed environment (without air exchange), research has found that some indoor air can get as toxic as highway air when burning paraffin candles!
100% Beeswax
Many non-beeswax or blended wax candles contain added chemicals, and toxic dyes or scents that release carcinogens, parabens, pthalates and other things into the air when the candles are burned. Our candles don’t have any of those things.
Slower, brighter, more efficient burn
Because of its higher melting point, beeswax emits a warmer-toned and brighter flame than most other waxes. The light is actually similar to the light spectrum of sunlight. Beeswax also burns slower and is often considered drip-free because it is a denser wax.
Natural light honey scent
As a pleasant added bonus, the traces of nectar and pollen left in the wax after its extraction from the honeycomb give a subtle honey scent to the candles.
